Yulia Kiseleva

Yulia holds a Bachelor’s degree with Honours in Regional (African) Studies from the Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO-University), Russia. Her Bachelor’s thesis focused on the US economic policies in Sub-Saharan Africa. Yulia earned her Master’s degree with Merit in International Affairs from the Australian National University. She worked at the English Newsroom of RT (Russia Today) TV Channel and at the Energy Section of the EU Delegation to Russia. Yulia is currently pursuing a doctoral degree at King’s College London, University of London, and is a member of the Russian & Eurasian Security Research Group. Her thesis explores the idea and phenomenon of ‘soft power’ in Russian foreign policy.

Christian Ruiz

Christian Ruiz is currently working as a Research Associate at the Hertie School of Governance and is doing his PhD on the European Sovereign Debt Crisis. He studied in Geneva and Berlin and calls himself a European citizen. He is also a board member of the International Network on European Studies and is very active in networks such as the German Council on Foreign Relations and the Young European Federalists.

Olafur Margeirsson

Olafur Margeirsson (Olaf) is finishing his PhD Economics degree at the University of Exeter, UK. Prior to his postgraduate studies he worked as a macroeconomist at the Research Department of Kaupthing Bank in Iceland. He earned Distinction and Dean’s Commendation for his MSc. Money & Banking studies. Parallel to his PhD research he has analysed and blogged about the financial system of Iceland, in particular the pension system and the peculiar way of indexing debt there. He has furthermore assisted official bodies on economic issues in Iceland.

Justin Campbell

Justin Campbell is currently studying a Master of Economics at the University of New England and is a member of the Australian Libertarian Society. He currently works as an employment consultant and has over five years experience in the employment/recruitment industry. In 2008 Justin ran as an Independent in the Brisbane City Council election and maintains an educational blog/website.

Max Berre

Max Berre is a Brussels-based economist who currently works as a research engineer for financial regulation at the EDHEC Risk Institute in France and as a researcher/lecturer for his own company Knowledge House Maastricht. Previously Max has worked as a finance and economics lecturer at Maastricht University, as a sovereign debt research analyst at the Inter-American Development Bank, and an economist at the Brazilian embassy in Washington.
Max holds a Masters Degree in Banking and Finance from Ghent University and a Master in Public Economics from Maastricht University.
